College Christmas wishlist

Curtis Newton, Managing Editor

There is just a week before the holidays, and everyone is out preparing for celebrations.

In the midst of this frenzy, college students are returning home after their first semester of the year. For many, this is their first time back since the beginning of school, and they are likely grateful to return home.

Through their segue from childhood to adulthood, these students are beginning to live on their own, and need supplies to support themselves. With the holidays just around the corner, now is the perfect time to put said supplies on their Christmas wishlists.

The following Christmas letter is made from a compilation of responses from college students when asked what would be on their ideal holiday wishlist.

Dear Santa,

Hello! It’s been a year since I last wrote a letter, so I hope you’ve been well.

I’ve been okay, but school has been tough. Finals have been torture, and I don’t think I did too well on my Art History exam…

But that’s all fine! I’m going back home on Saturday and I’m excited to see everyone! My parents, my siblings, my dog, all my high school friends… It’ll be great to see them!

There are a few things I want for Christmas this year; the items at the top of the list have the highest priority. Please take these into consideration!

  • Gift Cards
  • Money
  • Clothes, including: socks, pants and boots
  • Athletic gear
  • Basic School supplies
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Something to remind me of home. I know I’m going back there soon, but I want something for my dorm.
  • Anything specific to my interests, such as instrument accessories and a drawing tablet.

I hope you get to read this card, and I hope you visit soon!

Yours truly,

Jenn Ericson

P.S I didn’t intentionally set my chem lab on fire in October, so I’m still a good college student.
