Ash Guthrie

Ash Guthrie, Staff Writer

Ash Guthrie is a Sophomore at Hollis Brookline High School. This is her first year with the school newspaper. In period four journalism she trains to be the next Web Editor, in period seven journalism she writes articles and trains to contribute to the school newspaper crew. Ash Guthrie is the youngest of her family, with one amazing sibling. She was born in Brookline and has lived there all her life. Her brother is a huge inspiration in her life and encourages her to find new ways to succeed and try new things. She enjoys watersports she did three seasons of HB’s Crew, two junior Varsity and one Varsity like her brother. She also swam for HB’s Varsity Swim team freshman year. In her spare time Ash is licensed in a volunteer EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)  Apprentice, which allows her to work for the Brookline Ambulance Service. Helping people and animals has always interested her, and she aspires to be a Veterinarian or full time Paramedic. Even though she is currently the youngest writer in both Journalism classes she’s taking, she is still hopes to help with the Cavalier Chronicle and contribute to the already very impressive school newspaper.
