Snapchat comeback

Most people know of the app called Snapchat, a simple app that allows people to send quick images back and forth. Times for these snaps range between 1 second and 10 and even short video clips. However as with every app it must keep changing and adjusting with the times to stay “hip”.

Snapchat has recently added a change known as My Story. You can take a combination of videos and snaps and send them to My Story. Then whoever clicks on your “story” can view whatever you have posted within the last 24 hours. However, the posted material only lasts for 24 hours before being erased from the My Story area. When students were asked about the new feature in the halls of HB the response was not overly enthusiastic, Ian Conaway, ’14, said “The story thing is pretty annoying and it was a pretty unnecessary update, there’s really no need for it.” On the other hand, some students found it an interesting addition, allowing you to see snaps from people that you may not normally converse with. However does this make the new snapchat a comeback? Or just plain creepy?
