Results of Weekend Games
Congratulations to the Football and Volleyball teams for their wins on Saturday.
The Volleyball team improved to 19-0 with a 3-0 win over Spaulding in the Quarter-Final round of the NHIAA Division I Volleyball Trn. Match scores were 25-17, 25-22, and 22-15. Top performers were Maddie Norris 13 kills, Elizabeth Atkinson 11 kills, Kyra Belden 4 aces 27 assists, Kayleigh Whalen 4 aces and Sammie Sheppard 3 aces 10 digs. They now travel to Pinkerton on Tuesday for a 7pm semi-final game against Dover.
The Football team improved to 6-2 in a must win game against Souhegan to make the playoffs. Down 34-14 in the 2nd half the Cav’s fought back to tie the game 42-42 with less than two minutes in the game. Brandon Ioidice scored the winning touchdown after a short pass and ran 70 yards for the winning touchdown with 15 seconds left in the game. The team finishes 5th in the standings and will travel to Hanover on Saturday for a 1pm kick-off.
The Cross Country teams particiated in the NHIAA Division II XC Championships at Derryfield Park. The Boys team finished 9th and the Girls team finished 10th. Kay Partridge finished 21st and Kenny Corsetti finished 10th to qualify for the Meet of Champs which will be at Nashua South on Saturday with girls race at 2:30pm and the boys race at 3:20pm.
Games for Tuesday – Oct. 31st :
The JV football team will host Souhegan at 4pm.
The Volleyball team will be taking on Dover in the semi-finals of the NHIAA Division I VB trn at Pinkerton. Bus is at 4:45pm and the game is at 7pm. The NHIAA charges an admission fee for this event ( $7 – Adults and $5 – Students and Sr. Citizens).
