Results from Tuesday – 9/11 :
The Golf team improved to 10-4 , going 2-1 at Portsmouth today. HB defeated Kingswood ( 96-77) and Coe-Brown (96-46) while losing to Portsmouth (102-96).
Grady Sturges was the high scorer for HB with 24 points, followed by Matt Dias 19, Rory Klauber and Colin Mcdonald with 18 and Garret Sturges with 17.
HB Girls Soccer  (3-1-1) traveled to Milford (4-0-1) and emerged with a 1-1 tie.  HB carried the better play for the first twenty minutes, while Milford controlled the next twenty, but neither team yielded into halftime.  With 18 minutes remaining HB’s Emma Ruvido finally separated the two teams, getting into the box and touching around the charging keeper to slot one in for a 1-0 lead.  Milford went on relentless attack, with Katie Lorden finally knocking in a close range equalizer with 4 minutes remaining.   Both teams generated chances and defended well through the fast paced overtime, coming away with well earned ties.  HB’s keeper Maggie Crooks was solid with 18 saves, while Katie Lorden and Jade Gregg combined for 22 for Milford.  Teresa Demaio, paisley  Broadhurst, Maddie Harley, Rachel Brackett Sophia Warren and Abbie Ogren hand standout performances in a strong overall effort.
 
The JV Girls Soccer  -team had a hard fought 2-2 tie with Milford.  Jordan Cassily lead the team from front to back down the middle of the field.  Sofia Walle added her 5th goal of the year followed by Avery Gillespie scoring her first on the season.  Lindsay played start to finish anchoring the defense


The Boys Soccer team improved to 4-1 with a 5-3 win over Manchester West. Scoring goals for HB were : Joey Dias from an Aidan Magruire pass, Mark Labak from a Joey Dias pass, Dale Jacobs on a penalty kick in the 47th minute of the game on a JJ foul in the box, Ethan Smith scored a rebounding goal off a JJ Kennedy shot, and JJ Kennedy scored from an Aidan Chretien pass. Andy Basque made some great contributions to the game on defense while  Ryan Coutu made 8 saves.

The Boys JV soccer team played a strong game on Tuesday against Manchester West winning 2-0.  Dominating play most of the first half, Danny Sattler opened the scoring in the second half after consistent offensive pressure.  Jonah Sacks scored the second goal to seal the victory.  Goalkeeping for the shutout was shared by Tim Leclerc and Jackson Koopman.

Volleyball hosts Bedford, jv- b at 4:00pm, jv- a at 5:15pm, and V at 6:30p
