The Boys Volleyball team completed their 3rd sweep of the week when they blanked Timberlane, 3-0, with scores of  25-11, 25-19, and 25-11. Top performers were
Jake Laborde 14 kills, Aidan Norris 8 kills, Kaleb Popham 6 kills, 3 aces, and  Ethan Norris 11 assists.
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Souhegan,3-1,  allowing three hits to a tough Saber squad. The Cavaliers scored in the first inning off a Paul Vachon single. The Cavs pulled away for good in the fourth inning when Charlie Hale singled on a 3-2 count, scoring an RBI.  Jack Lager led things off on the hill for the Cavs, surrendering one run on 2 hits over 5  innings, striking out 3 with no walks. Hale, Lager, Matt McLaughlin, Alex Razzaboni, Torin White, and Vachon each collected one hit to lead HB.
The Softball team had an amazing home opener against Souhegan winning 14-3.  Kailey Disco had two triples, two RBIs, and 3 stolen bases. Kailey also pitched 5 innings with a total of 6 strikeouts, giving up only 2 hits. Emily Tebbetts had a triple and a single and a stolen base, and one RBI. Savannah Duquette had 2 RBIs, while Austyn Kump had an RBI and a stolen base. Ally Johnson pitched a solid two innings and had a double with one RBI. Abigail Guay had a double with 2 RBI’s while Ava Imbrogno had one RBI on the day.
The Track and Field team faced off against 22 teams today at the 14th annual Pelham Invitational.  Both teams had a strong showing in their first meet of the season.  The boy’s team placed a strong 8th overall, with the girls one spot up in 7th. For the Boys team, standout performances were seen from senior John Kotelly who had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 400-meter dash and triple jump, and Junior Ryan Burgher, who finished 2nd and 6th in the 1600 and 800 meter runs respectively.  John and Ryan were joined by Titus Tieman and Ben Hoesch to finish 5th in the 4×400 meter relay.  Additionally, William Scales had a strong day in the discus with a 4th place finish. The Girl’s team saw strong performances from senior Amy Pattelena, who was 3rd in the 1600-meter run and 4th in the 800-meter run.  Sophomore Claire Ballou was 4th in 100-meter high hurdles and 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles.  Amy and Claire were joined by Sophomore Brianna Buckland and Senior Rachel Bracket to finish 3rd in the 4×400 meter relay.
The Girls Lacrosse team played Div. Londonderry tough to the end, losing 10-8. The top performers were Alyssa Hill: 2 goals 3 assists, Paige Mello: 2 goals 1 assist, Abbie Ogren: 1 goal, Bella Haytayan: 1 goal, Sabrina Hill: 1 goal, Cailean Roy: 1 goal, and  Juliette Ogren: 1 assist. Cailaen Roy & Alyssa Hill each had 5 draw controls. Goalie Hallie Bardini 8 saves while Kailyn Castriotta was solid on defense with several interceptions and ground ball controls.
The Girl’s Tennis team had a tough day on the courts, playing undefeated Oyster River on their home turf and being down 3 players from the top 6. The team stepped up and played their hearts out with long rallies and many deuce points.  Our doubles 1 team had payback with a stellar and hard-fought win at D1.  But undefeated Oyster River continued their winning streak beating HB 1-8. Scores were Keira Swart (3-8), Anuhya Chilakapati (7-9), Emily Frederickson (3-8), Annalise Walle (1-8)  , Peyton Arbogast (1-8),
Sophia Warren (4-8) , Keira/Anuhya( 8-5) , Annalise/Emil (0-8) and  Peyton/Sophia (1-8).
The Boys Tennis team lost 1-8 to a very deep and strong Oyster River team. Once again, number 1 singles player Bryson Giersh would be the only Hollis /Brookline player to defeat his opponent. Bryson used steady play to win his match 8-4.  No. 2 singles player, Freshman William Critchfield, continues to improve his game, but he faced a senior with more match play and lost 2-8.  No 3 singles player, Senior Hayden Smith, lost his match 3-8.  No. 4 singles play Jason Babcock lost 0-8.  No 5 singles player Finn Brown and No. 6 singles player Elliot Troddyn also lost 0-8.  The doubles team of Bryson Giersh and William Critchfield played steadily but lost their match 3-8. The doubles team of Hayden Smith and Jason Babcock lost 0-8. The doubles team of Finn Brown and Elliot Troddyn lost 2-8. 
The Boys Lacrosse team lost 15-4 to the defending State Champions from Portsmouth. Jake Roy led the Cavs with three goals and an assist, while Grover Farwell scored the other goal for HB.
