Are you looking for a nice way to bond with loved ones and get in some quality exercise? If so, the Flume Gorge trail in Lincoln, New Hampshire might just be the perfect hiking trip for you.

Lincoln is a small town up north. It consists of ski resorts, restaurants, and a beautiful mountain scene to please the eye, making it the perfect day trip for you and your family.

Being one of many hikes in New Hampshire, the Flume Gorge is known for its beautiful waterfalls, natural pools, and wolf den cave.

The Gorge, extending off of Mount Liberty, has walls formed naturally by granite dating back to the Jurassic period. These exposed walls offer a very raw and first-hand view of our planet’s history over time.

It also gives for some great scenery, as the wooden pathways offer a close-up view of the stone, and even pass over waterfalls

Being only a two-mile loop, the hike is considered quite family-friendly and doable by most. Check-in stations are available at both the bottom and top of the trail, as well as a trail center where you can find information on the history of the Flume Gorge and trail maps.

It is important to take note that there are many steps and short staircases which may be a challenge or pose a risk to some.

In addition to this beautiful and scenic sight, you may want to consider taking a stop at one of the local diners in town. Or if you are looking to extend your day with more adventures, try Alpine Adventures in Lincoln for some climbing fun!

If you find yourself in search of adventure, think about taking this short hiking trip through the Flume Gorge, it could be a fun and memorable bonding experience for you and your family this year.
