The winners of the entire event were the duo of Patel and Hazelton. “I’ve never baked with anyone but my mom and sister,” said Hazelton, and was surprised to win with a new partner who she’s never baked before. Winning and getting two, second place awards in the challenges, the group had a strong showing, winning the cookie challenge and winning second in the crepe competition and cupcake decoration. The group upset the entire competition, as a different group dropped out of the competition and these two were called up.

“I’m glad the other group didn’t show up,” said Patel, who wouldn’t have completed otherwise.
