Results from Monday- September 23:

The Girls Soccer team improved to 6-1 at home with a 2-0 win over previously undefeated Bow.  The first goal of this fast paced, well played game, didn’t come until just before halftime, when Abbie Warren whipped a sharp ball across to Rachel Bracket, who handled it perfectly and put the Cavs up 1-0. Bow turned up the pressure in the second half, but a strong defense led by Nicole Heiter and Christina Balsamo continued to turn them away.  With only 5 minutes remaining, Renee LeBlanc orchestrated yet another fine attack, eventually setting up Maddie Harley for the insurance goal.  Maggie Crooks was sensational in goal with 12 saves, including a furious sequence off a first half corner kick, and another in heavy traffic late in the second half.
The JV Girls Soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie.  Jordan Cassilly with a skillful goal in the first half to give the Cavs the lead.  Lindsey DeJoie made an incredible hustle play late in a tie game to clear the ball off the line at the last second to preserve the tie.  Allie Callahan controlled the midfield with great defending and attacking throughout the game.
