Results from Wednesday – Oct. 2nd :
The Girls Soccer team moved to 6-1-1 with a hard fought 1-1 tie to visiting Lebanon. Lebanon managed to slip one by keeper Christina Balsamo (5 saves) in the early going. HB would attack furiously throughout the match creating several scoring opportunities, until Renee LeBlanc (1 goal) got in alone and put one behind Lebanon’s fine keeper Sally Rainey (13 saves.) Rachel Brackett, Paige Magnuszewski and Paisely Broadhurst pressed hard forward, while Nicole Heiter and Paige Mello were particularly strong in the back.
The Boys Soccer team defeated Plymouth, 3-1, to improve to 5-4-1. HBHS goals were scored by Ethan Smith off an Aidan Dufoe corner in the 55th minute, Max Burns from Liam Troddyn from well outside the box in the 66th minute and by Liam Troddyn from Aidan Chretien in the 75th minute. Ryan Coutu made 6 saves in goal. Aidan Dufoe, Andy Basque, Max Burns, Liam Troddyn, and Ryan Coutu had great games.
The Volleyball team improved to 10-0 with a 3-0 win over Manchester Central. Scores were 25-6, 25-13, and 25-9. Top performers were Ellie Jordan 5 aces, Lydia Daskalos 4 kills, Emily Sartell 4 kills, and Sophie Jordan 11 assists. The tour of Manchester continues on Friday, when the Cavaliers visit the Crusaders of Memorial High School.
Games for Thursday – Oct.3rd :
The Boys Freshmen soccer team hosts Merrimack at 4pm at the high school field.
The Golf team hosts Milford and Coe-Brown at 3pm at the Overlook in their last home game of the season. Dismissal at 2pm.
