Results from Thursday- Oct 24th :
The Girls soccer team improved to 13-1-2, locking up the 2nd seed and bye for the tourney, with a 1-0 win at Souhegan’s senior night. The lone goal came 18 minutes in, when Rachel Bracket threaded a sharp pass across the box to Renee LeBlanc, who turned under pressure and put it in off the far post. While each HB player on the field had their best game of the year, the talk of the night was the classy continual duel between Paisley Broadhurst and Souhegan’s phenomenal Gretta Caulton. A few players excelled in new roles, especially Emma Ruvido at attacking mid, and Paige Mello at defensive mid. Amanda Robbins assumed leadership in the back, working with Teresa DeMaio and Abbie Ogren for an incredible defensive display in this fast paced game. Christina Balsamo recorded her 6th shutout in goal, with several sure handed catches under close pressure.
The JV Girls Soccer team defeated Souhegan 6-0 to finish the regular season with a fine 10-1-2 record. Lindsey DeJoie had a great finish on an equally great cross by Eva Kelley. Allie Callahan, Morgan Kipp, Madeleine Boudreau, Kail Arthur, and Jordan Cassilly added goals of their own.
The Boys Reserve Soccer team lost to Keene, 3-1. Jesse Gertz scored off a header from Owen Damon. Owen Ford has a great game in net .
