College decision day is a big moment for all the graduating classes throughout the United States. On May 1 each year, Seniors get decked out in their chosen college apparel in honor of their commitment to the school they will be attending in the fall., Because of the current pandemic our society is going through ,the class of 2020 was not able to be a part of this long lasting tradition that the many grades before them had. Below are some of Hollis-Brookline seniors who will be sharing their college decisions and their hopes for the future.

Kathryn Fry

Hollis-Brookline senior Kathryn Fry will be attending Brigham Young University next fall, leaning towards a business or marketing related major. “I have wanted to go to BYU since I was 12 years old,” said Kathryn Fry ‘20. The predominantly Mormon school has a lot to personally offer Fry. “I am a very religious person, so this has always been a goal of mine. It is very affordable, and presented the most cost effective solution,while also providing a phenomenal education,” said Fry. From the jump from New Hampshire to Utah, Fry is not at all worried of being homesick and is very excited for the move. “I am most excited to meet new people, and attend every football game I can! I am a total people-person, and being able to room with and go to school with people that I have never met before really excites me,” said Fry. After college, Fry hopes to work as a marketing manager of some kind.

Though these seniors and all of the class of 2020 have very different futures ahead they all share the memories they’ve made and the friendships they’ve created within the walls of HBHS and will always have ties to one another no matter how far they travel. 

The soon-to-be high school graduates of Hollis-Brookline High School are very excited to kick off their college experiences in the fall of 2020.
