The Girls Soccer team continued their climb up the standings, now at 9-4-1, with a 2-1 win up at Lebanon (9-5.) Mckenna Maguire finally broke down a very determined, imposing, and compact Lebanon defense inside on the right, and buried a deceptive, vicious, left-footed shot that bent low to beat a good keeper near post. Lebanon equalized on a stunning 35-yard free-kick under the crossbar, and the pressure was on. With less than two minutes to go in the half, Maguire again found space for a high rip to the far post and the 2-1 game-winner. The second half was a 40-minute endurance run of hard defending and pressure throughout the field, as the talented Lebanon squad pushed bodies forward. HB did find opportunities, including a long free-kick by Madeleine Boudreau that beat the keeper but found the crossbar. Impressive effort by everyone on the field, though some extra spark was provided by Ellie Snoke in the midfield, and the now customary ferocity of Lily Bouchard up top. Paige Magnuszewski and Sienna Anderson continue to define the midfield, while Amanda Robbins commands a fine back four. Maggie Crooks continues her run of big saves, including a courageous smother, save on the lone player who broke through, late in the game to preserve the win.

The JV Girls Soccer team took home a weekend win 4-0 at Lebanon. The first half included a goal each by Keira Swart and Lila Bard. In the second half, Lila added her second of the game while Claire wrapped the game up with the fourth and final goal. Great defense all around for HB kept the shutout intact for 90 minutes.

The Field Hockey team finished out their season today on the road at ConVal. The Cougars came out strong, but HB was able to battle back and scored the first and only goal of the game in the third quarter. Alyssa Hill and Hailey Arseneau kept the ball in play crossing the circle to a readily awaiting Allie Wood on the opposite post! The Cavaliers look forward to next week where they make their first playoff appearance in over 4 years!

Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Field Hockey team for their 2-0 win over ConVal Friday night. The team ended their season with four straight shutout victories! Goals Friday came from freshman Juliette Ogren and sophomore Katrina Lee with an assist from sophomore Ella Marcum and freshman Maia Arthur. Freshman forward Audrie Green and freshman defenders Bianca Penalva and Ellie Sanborn had strong games as well. Special shout-out to freshman Jess Folensbee for playing an integral role in taking down the Cougars. Team captains Ella Marcum and Isabella Martinos did an excellent job all season leading their fellow players!

The Volleyball team improved to 13-1 with a 3 game sweep over Pinkerton by scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-19. The top performers were Meaghan Coutu 9 kills 3 aces 1 block, Cheyenne Colbert 11 kills, 2 aces, Annette Schlunk 12 kills, Lydia Daskalos 8 kills, 4 aces and
Abbie Hoffpauir 4 blocks. The JV-A team split with Pinkerton, winning 25-12, then losing 25-17, and then lost the tiebreaker 15-6. Lolly Adair, Kate Berrigan, and Maggie Noble provided offense and defense at the net. The JV-B team swept their sets thanks to a solid all-around contribution from Angelina Costa and Gabrielle Spear, offense from Carina Carlson, and setting from Kirti Das.

The Cross Country teams competed in the Pelham XC Invitational. The boys finished 5th. Top runners: Ryan Burgher 8th 17:24, Ayden Finnegan 31st 18:46, Jacob Dwyer 32nd 18:53, Marcus McCammack 45th 19:44, Matthew McLaughlin 64th 21:25, Michael Bauer 65th 21:25 and Vincent Arcieri 87th 24:08 Girls top finisher was Amy Pattelena 8th with a time of 19:54

The Boy Soccer team traveled to Lebanon and lost 4-0 to fall to 10-2 – 2 on the season. Lebanon was led by Nicholas Brill who scored 3 goals. Jackson Scherer and Alexander James shared roles in goal today making 6 saves between the two of them. JP Torgersen played a great game in the second half playing in his first varsity game. Danny Sattler also had a great game at center mid.

The JV Boys Soccer team led Lebanon at the half 1-0 when JP Torgenson scored off a corner kick. Lebanon scored two 2nd half goals to win the game 2-1.

The Cheer team hosted the Hannah Bazemore Cheer Competition which saw many teams compete throughout the state and was a very successful event.

The Football team fell to 2-5 with a 43-16 loss to Bow.
