Results from Tuesday – January 4th

The Girls Basketball team improved to 6-0 with a 58 – 29 win over Oyster River. The top performers were Elisabeth Staplefeld, who led all scorers with 27 points, and Daniella Allanach who had 9 points. Cheyenne Colbert had 5 points and 10 rebounds. The Jv’s won to improve their record to 5-1 with a 45-35 win at home against Oyster River. Ireland Stark led all scorers with 19 points and McKenna Maguire had 6. Julia Robbins and Maggie Noble had great defense games.
The Wrestling team improved to 4-0 on the season, 3-0 in Division II, with a 63-18 win over Milford.  Picking up pins for the Cavaliers were: Caden Bruseo (120), Daniel Frixione (126), Jason DeJoie (132), Colin McGarry (138), RJ McAdams (145), Troy Moscatelli (152), and Ethan Bender (170).  Luke Wang (160) won by decision, while Jameson Keller (106), Amelia Collard (113), and Justin Colby (195) won by forfeit.
 The Boys Varsity Basketball team lost to Oyster River in Overtime,48-42. Oyster River hit key free throws in overtime to stop a furious effort by the Cavaliers. Kaleb Popham played an exceptional game for the Cav’s scoring 15 and gathering 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Aidan Dufoe ignited several rallies with his hard defense and hustle. Jon Kotelly also played well scoring 12 and defending the top scorer for OR Sam Haskell.
The  Boys JV basketball team lost a close, hard-fought game at Oyster River 65-68. Tyler Gryniewicz led the team in scoring with 14 points. Both Paul Gehan and Trekker Mattern added 10.
Games for Wednesday – January 5th :
The Ice Hockey team hosts Sanborn at Conway Arena at 8:10 pm. The arena guidelines require masks to be worn by spectators.
