Results from Thursday – Jan. 6th

The Girls Basketball team fell to Pembroke 61-33. Elisabeth Staplefeld led all scorers with 25 points. The Jv’s beat Pembroke to improve to 6-1.  Maggie Noble had 12 points and McKenna Maguire had 6. Defensively everyone contributed.

In Boys Basketball action, a tight game for 3 quarters saw Pembroke erupt for a 25 point 4th quarter as the Spartans outran the Cavaliers in the end winning by a score of 72-56.  Hollis-Brookline played a hard-fought game throughout down by 3 at the half and only 7 after 3 quarters.  Kaleb Popham played a tremendous game for HBHS leading all scorers with 24 points.  Joe Mahoney sparked the Cavaliers throughout the game with his steals and defensive intensity while scoring 16 against a tough Pembroke Defense.  John Kotelly played top scorer and Player of the Year Candidate Mike Pitman from Pembroke hard defensively while scoring 8 points and 6 rebounds
The Boys JV basketball team won a defensive battle against Pembroke 41-36. The team was led in scoring by Trekker Mattern with 10, Colin Magnuszewski with 8, and Y’arie Ramas with 7.
The Hollis Brookline wrestling team improved to 5-0 on the season, 4-0 in Division II, with a 54-24 win on the road against Winnacunnet.  Winning by pin for the Cavaliers were: Jason DeJoie (138), Hunter Crea (145), Troy Moscatelli (152), and Luke Wang (160).  Several HB wrestlers also won by forfeit.  The Cavaliers are set to host an 8-team tournament on Saturday 1/8, with a scheduled start time of 9:00 AM.

The Unified Basketball team hosts Alvirne at 3:30 pm.
The Swim team travels to Londonderry, bus at 3 pm, meets at 4 pm.

The Boys Basketball teams travel to Souhegan, bus at 12:45 pm, JV game at 2 pm, and V game at 3:30 pm.
The Girls Basketball teams travel to Souhegan, bus at 3:45 pm, JV game at 5 pm, and V game at 6:30 pm.
The Bowling team hosts a meet at Merrimack Ten Pin at 9 am.
The Wrestling team hosts the Nor’Easter starting at 9 am.
