Results from Wednesday – May 18th

The Girls Lacrosse team defeated Merrimack Valley 19-4 to improve to 11-2. The top Performers were Alyssa Hill – 6 goals, 1 assist. At Goal  # 5 today, Alyssa reached her 100 goal mark for her career, Cailean Roy – 3 Goals 1 assist, Sabrina Hill – 2 Goals, Ireland Stark – 2 Goals, 1 assist, Teagan Arborgast – 2 Goals, Samantha Smith –  1Goal, McKenna Maguire – 1 Goal, Abbie Ogren – 1 Goal, 3 assists, Daniella Allanach – 1 Goal and Maddison Caetano – 1 assist.  Hallie Bardani had 4 saves in goal. McKenna Maguire leads draw controls with 7.

Padge MacSeain went the distance for HB 7IP 8K 3 BB 1 H 1R. as the Varsity Baseball team defeated Merrimack Valley 6-1 to improve to 12-1 on the season.  He went 2/5 at the plate.  Alex Razzaboni (2/4 1 HR 3 RBI), Torin White (3/4 3B), Charles Hale (2/4) and Zak Lussier (2/4 3B 1 RBI) led the way on offense.

The Unified Track Team hosted its first meet in 2019. At today’s meet, our Seniors Partners, Senior Athletes, and Athletes who are participating in their last Track season at HB were celebrated. Those athletes and partners who were recognized were: Alyssa Bunker, Katelyn Heidel, Paige Knudsen, Josh Ward, Kyria Weaver Bartis, and Leia Scott. Paige Knudsen crushed the long jump at 8 ft. followed by Katelyn Heidel at 5’8”. Alyssa Bunker had a respectable throw during the shot put of 9’3” with Josh Ward right behind her with 8’3”. Partner Leia Scott threw an incredible 17’7”.
The Softball team lost a hard-fought 8-inning battle to Merrimack Valley by a score of 2-1. Kailey Disco had two hits and had the only RBI of the game, scoring Megan Park, who got on base due to a hit by pitch situation during the 5th inning to tie the score. Austyn Kump pitched 8 innings with 11 strikeouts moving her career total to 249. Kump allowed only 3 hits during her 8 innings on the mound.
The  JV Baseball team defeated Merrimack Valley 16-2 on Wednesday, thanks in part to Paul Gehan, who drove in four runners.  Gehan drove in runs on a walk in the first, a triple in the third, and a single in the third. Morelli was the winning pitcher for HBJV. Morelli allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out nine.  Wilson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Wilson recorded the last three outs, HBJV. HBJV collected 13 hits on the day.  Morelli, Tyler Grynlewicz, Gehan, Winsor, and Ronin Finnegan all collected multiple hits for HBJV. Morelli went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead HBJV in hits. HBJV baseball hopes to keep the bats hot as they face Souhegan JV @5:15 tomorrow at Souhegan High School.
