Congratulations to the Girl’s Tennis team on their preliminary round victory over the Bow Eagles. The Cavs were seeded 11th and upset the 6th seeded Eagles by a score of 5-4. Singles match scores were Keira Swart won 8-0, Anuhya Chilakapati lost 3-8, Abby Coolidge won 9-8, Katie Bauer won 8-6, Emily Frederickson lost 4-8, and Annalise Walle lost 2-8. Doubles match scores were Swart/Chilakapati won 8-1, A. Coolidge/Mikayla Coolidge won 8-6, and Walle/Bauer lost 4-8. The team now advances to the quarterfinals, where they will travel to Oyster River on Friday to play the Bobcats.
The Baseball team beat a very talented St.Thomas squad by a score of 4-1 to improve to 14-1 on the season. Padraig Mac Seain delivered on both sides of the ball, winning over the Saints. He went 6 innings, giving up 4 hits, striking out 8, and walking none. He went 2/3 with a 2B and 2 RBI. Aiden Dufoe (1/2 3B 2RBI) and Zak Lussier (1/2 2B 2R) helped lead the way on offense.
The Softball team defeated Hanover 15-4 to improve to 10-5. HB had a good day in the field and at the plate. Kailey Disco had a double and an RBI. Abby Wallis, Emily Sartell, and Meghan Park each had an RBI. Katie Carr had a single and 2 RBIs. Ally Johnson had two singles and an RBI. Addy Marchant had two singles. Sophia Brickner had a single. Austyn Kump had an RBI single. Olivia Colantuonio had a single. Katrina Lee had two singles and an RBI. Emily Tebbetts had two singles and two RBIs. Ally Johnson pitched 7 innings with 6 strikeouts and only allowed 2 hits.
The Girls Lacrosse team improved to 13-3 with a 15-4 win over Manchester Memorial. The top performers were Alyssa Hill: 3 goals, 3 assists,
Ireland Stark: 2 goals, 1 assist, Kaitlyn Castriotta: 2 goals, Nicole Hieter: 1 goal, 3 assists, Juliette Ogren: 1 goal, Samantha Smith 1 goal, Hallie Bardani 1 goal, Paige Mello: 1 goal, Abbie Ogren: 1 goal, Bella Haytayan: 3 assists, McKenna Maguire: 1 assist and Julia Vella: 1 assist. Halie Barnadi had 6 saves
in goal. Julia Vella led in draw controls with 6. The jv’s won 6-2
The Boys Lacrosse team played well in defeat, losing a close one to Windham 8-7. The top performers were Jake Roy: 1 goal, 2 assists,
Tommy Anderson: 2 goals, Connor Cook: 1 goal, JP Torgersen: 2 goals 1 assist, and Ben Dufoe: 1 goal 1 assist. Tucker Luter had 19 saves in goal.
Justin Colby won 17/19 face-offs.
