Results from Wednesday – June 1st:

The Softball team defeated Pembroke in the first round of the NHIAA Division II Softball Championships by a score of 12-3. The Cavs came out strong to top Pembroke with  Emily Tebbetts going  3-4 with 2 singles and a double. Austyn Kump went 3-4 with 2 singles and one triple. Ally Johnson went 3-4 with 3 singles and an RBI. Kailey Disco had a double and an RBI. Savannah Duquette had a 2 RBI double and 1 single. Olivia Colantuonio had 2 singles and 3 RBIs. Ava Imbrogno had an RBI. Meghan Park had a single and Emily Sartell had an RBI and a single. Austyn Kump had 11 strikeouts allowing only 3 hits. They now advance to the Quarters on Saturday at  John Stark.
The Girls Lacrosse team defeated Goffstown 18-5 in the quarter-final round of the NHIAA Division II Girls Lacrosse Championships. The top performers were Paige Mello: 7 Goals, 1 assist, Alyssa Hill: 4 Goals, 6 assists, Kaitlyn Castriotta: 3 Goals, Bella Haytayan: 2 Goals, Sabrina Hill: 2 goals, and Cailean Roy: 1 Assist. Bella Haytayan (6) and Kaitlyn Castriotta(4) lead in draw controls with a combined total of 10. Abbie Ogren led in ground ball controls with a total of 5 while  Paige Mello and Kaitlyn Castriotta lead in interceptions with a total of 5.  HBHS will play Hanover in the Semifinals this Saturday at 5:00p at Stello’s stadium.
The Jv Boys Volleyball team finished their season today, playing in the Division I JV boys volleyball tournament. The team played Londonderry in the Semifinals and knocked the Lancers out of the tournament 25-23.  The team went on to play Dover in the finals and had a thrilling matching match. The team came up short in the third set. The scores were 18-25, 25-22, and 10-15.  Liam Sinclair had a stellar performance for the team defensively. Brian Putney was a force to be reckoned with on the outside.  Ben St. John quarterbacked the team and had 35 assists on the day.
