Everyone’s heard the saying, ‘live life to the fullest’ but rarely do people understand or even follow what that actually means. Caitlyne Herman ‘25 has a unique view on life and she truly changes the perspective of people around her in every interaction. Herman has a way of expressing this by living life like it’s full of possibilities. She believes that is how it is and we often forget that memories are what matter. Once you get to know Herman personally, her views shine through, influencing everyone around her completely.
Many people in Herman’s life have been influenced by her views. Herman’s boyfriend, Nick Landers ‘25 was the most influenced by her. “I used to have such a bad view on life and saw life pointless but after meeting her that changed. Because, if you live a fast life like you’re gonna die young, you will block out the world’s beauty and you don’t realize how good everything can be,” said Landers. Landers learned this through Herman’s memory-oriented motivation in life, which even influenced her own mother, Sandy Herman.
Sandy Herman admires the perspective on life that her daughter has. “She makes her life revolve around chances, opportunities and solely making memories,” said Sandy Herman. Sandy Herman knows her daughter’s point of view influences everyone around her and even said it’s a beautiful gift that she has.
Caitlyne Herman knows she has impacted many people throughout her life so far. The biggest statement she lives by is, “Everything is a possibility, that’s what makes life so fun and memorable,” said Herman. In the end, life is what people make it out to be and that’s the message she wants to spread.
