Jennifer Campbell is a Directed Study teacher and a very important part of the school community. She brings a happy, helpful presence to Hollis Brookline High School (HBHS). She has changed the school environment for kids who are struggling and made an impact ever since she started working at HBHS. Campbell volunteers with students and changes the surroundings to feel at home.
Campbell brings a positive attitude to school students. “She has a lot of patience, and is kind, accepting and relaxed,” said coworker Dawn Breault.
Both these wonderful teachers share a room across from each other, working together to help students. Most importantly, Campbell wants her students to succeed. “She’s very creative and thinks outside the box for children. She loves helping students and seeing them graduate,” said Breault.
One thing is for sure: Campbell loves her students. “She genuinely cares about her students and works hard to give them the best possible opportunities,” said one of her students, Aubrey Craig ‘26. She truly loves each and every student and wants them to be happy and achieve success.
Additionally, Campbell maintains a comfortable environment. Aubrey Craig enjoys her room. “She creates a space that helps her get work done and be productive,” said Craig.
Campbell is always trying to make a comfortable space, even getting new decorations. She wants to “create a bigger comfortable space with more decorations,” said Campbell. She even plans for the class to paint meaningful pictures and quotes on the walls.
Campbell is very trustworthy. Aubrey talked about how she trusts her. “I trust her because she gives great advice, and she has been there for me the past two years,” said Craig.
Overall, Campbell loves children and wants the best for every one of her students. She has proven in many ways to many people how impactful she is to the school community.
