NCC off to strong start in NCAA DI Final Four
April 1, 2014
Nashua Community College has reached the NCAA Division I Final Four.
A sixteenth seed team, the local school defeated basketball powerhouses Duke, Arizona, and Florida, proving that a small time school can battle with the big guns. Led by Senior forwards Hakeem Olajuwon and Wilt Chamberlain, as well as Sophomore point guard Allen Iverson, and hometown hero Matt Bonner, a Junior, this NCC team is a true cinderella story.
Known for their tremendous alley-oop passes, the NCC squad has been dubbed the New Hampshire Flight Squad, and are truly a fan favorite. ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, has called NCC “The team of the year, the team to watch, the team to go all the way”. High praise from such an intense critic.
