FRIDAY, SEPT. 16

5-7 p.m. – Re/Max tethered hot air balloon rides, weather permitting ($10).

5-9 p.m. – Lizzi the Balloon Artist.

6-10 p.m. – Amusement rides and midway open, food and beverages available.

7-10 p.m. – Teen dance with DJ, no charge (Entertainment Tent).

SATURDAY, SEPT. 17

6:30 a.m. – Hot air balloon launch untethered flight, weather permitting.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Cow Pattie Bingo tickets for sale (Hollis Brookline Rotary Club booth).

10 a.m.-5 p.m. – All vendor and organization booths open.

Ongoing demonstrations: rug hooking, cooper, potter, apple cider press, blacksmithing, hewer.

10 a.m. – Main Street closed for parade.

10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. – Amusements and midway open, food and beverages available.

10:30 a.m. – Parade, starts at Hollis Brookline Middle School, travels along Main Street, past Town Common, ending at Nichols Field.

11 a.m.-4 p.m. – Silent auction to benefit Old Home Days (Lawrence Barn).

11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. – Car, Truck & Tractor Show.

Noon – Flag raising by Hollis Scouts; national anthem and “God Bless America” sung by John Ogrodowczyk, accompanied by Hollis Town Band (Entertainment Tent); opening remarks by selectman.

12:15 p.m. -Apple Pie Contest entry deadline (Hollis Woman’s Club booth).

12:15-1 p.m. – Band concert by Hollis Town Band (Entertainment Tent).

12:15-2 p.m. – Hollis Area Equestrians demos (Lawrence Barn horse ring).

1 p.m. – Apple Pie Contest judging (Hollis Woman’s Club booth).

1-2 p.m. – Children’s fire muster by Hollis Fire Department (Nichols Field, south end of track).

1:15-7:45 p.m. – Entertainment: live music, dance and improv performances (Entertainment Tent).

2-5:30 p.m. – Chicken barbecue.

4 p.m. – Bidding ends for silent auction items (Lawrence Barn).

4 p.m. – Cow Pattie Bingo (Nichols Field, north end of track), tickets must have been previously purchased at Hollis Brookline Rotary Club booth.

5-8 p.m. – Lizzi the Balloon Artist.

6 p.m. – Retiring of the flag by Hollis Scouts.

6 p.m. – Announcement of silent auction winners.

6-7:50 p.m. – Silent auction winners pickup; cash and checks only (Lawrence Barn).

7:50 p.m. – Lawrence Barn closes.

8 p.m. – Fireworks (rain date: Sunday, same time).

SUNDAY, SEPT. 18

8 a.m.-noon – Field cleanup; volunteers welcome.

13 p.m. – Silent auction winners pickup; cash and checks only (Lawrence Barn).

8 p.m. – Rain date for fireworks.

NOTE: This schedule is subject to last-minute changes. In case of heavy rain, events will be postponed until Sunday with a modified schedule, including no parade. Check for announcements at hollisoldhomedays.org and on Facebook. Light rain will not cause any activities to be postponed.
