Shelby Bent, a senior at Hollis Brookline High School, was a three year varsity cheerleader. In order to focus on academics and her goals for her future,  Shelby took senior year off from all sports. After graduation Shelby plans on moving out of her home in Brookline, NH and attending Nashua Community College for her first year of independence. She doesn’t want to do sports in college, but will be looking at how she can implement all of the skills she has taken away from her high school writing classes.. Shelby plans on working during the day and attending college classes at night. She will be taking a writing class in college and will miss her Journalism career and all of the staff at HB that made graduating a possibility.
