Hometown Hero of Hollis Brookline
Savannah Werne makes a big hit at a home game this season.
October 16, 2013
Recently named Hometown Hero, Savanah Werne, ’14, has been a starter on varsity volleyball since sophomore year. WMUR reported at the game last week and interviewed Werne. She was named captain by her team, which the members consider a second family. Werne has taken her position as captain seriously by being understanding and responsible, and by working hard over the summer and during the off-season. In her sophomore year, Werne helped lead her team to victory in the Division I State Championships. The Hometown Hero award is a great honor for a Hollis Brookline student to receive, and this young woman lives up to the award.
