Results and Games for: October 13 – 16

Results from Friday/Saturday – Oct 13/14th :
On Friday the Field Hockey team clinched a playoff berth by beating Oyster River 4-1. Sofia Barassi broke into the scoring column early, popping one into the right corner of the goal in a one-on-one fastbreak against the goalie only a minute and a half into the game. Oyster River tied it up ten minutes later, but then HB’s Jacqueline Hale, assisted by fellow senior Megan McLaughlin, scored the go-ahead goal and HB never looked back. Barassi scored again, assisted by Hale and then junior Minn Danaisawasdi scored her first of the season, assisted by Meg Hill. Senior goalkeeper Emily Dvareckas had five saves in net and got substantial defensive help from Rachel Dvareckas, Rachel Cerato, and Jordan Mazzola.
The Football team improved to 5-1 with a 50-0 win over Manchester West.
The Volleyball team improved to 15-0 with a 3-1 win over Salem. The JV – A and JV – B teams also won.
The Girls Soccer team lost to Portsmouth 3-1. Scoring for the Cav’s was Maddie McCann with an assist from Tasha White. Izzy LeBlanc had 11 saves in goal.
Games for Monday – Oct 16th :
Boys Soccer travels to Oyster River, dismissal at 1:45pm, bus at 2pm and games at 4:30pm
Volleyball hosts Timberlane, JV – B at 4pm, JV – A at 5:15pm and V at 6:30-pm
