Results from Wednesday – April 11th :

The Hollis Brookline Boys Volleyball downed BG last night 3-1. Scores for the match were 25-17, 20-25, 25-26, 25-23. Standouts for HB were Seniors, Jonathan Brackett who had 15 and 14 digs, Setter Scott Vancoughnett who had 27 assists, Junior Jack Sinclair with 13 digs. In the deciding game, sophomore Matthew Wozcik went to the service line at 14-22 and served the team to 22-23. Kills by Jonathan Brackett and junior Mike Moscatelli closed out the match 25-23. The JVs swept BG 2-0.

The Girls Tennis team lost to Windham 9-0.Although the scores don’t indicate it, the long points and determination of the athletes show that the young team is becoming stronger. Particular credit goes to Emily Spooner who played two close matches.  Spooner’s double match with partner Julia Stam lasted over 1 ½ hours; the lead going back and forth between the team until the final few games.

The Boys Tennis team defeated Windham 6-3 to improve to 2-0. Singles winners Nick Vahe,Darius Paradie,and Max Burns. Doubles winners were Vahe/David Cherkossky , Paradie/Ben Zielinsky and Burns/Alex Anghel.

The Softball team lost to Milford 12-0 in their season opener.

The Baseball team lost to Milford 5-4 in their season opener. HB was winning 4 to 2 in the 4th when a 3 run inning gave Milford the lead and that was the final.Kaito Kramarcyzk pitched well in defeat as did Joe Brown.Kyle Hsu had 3 hits for HB

Games for Thursday – April 12th :

V Girls Lax at Oyster River, bus at 4pm and game at 6:30pm.
Girls Tennis at Pembroke, dismissal at 2pm, bus at 2:15pm , match at 4pm
