Results from Wednesday – April 18th :

The Girls Lacrosse team defeated Milford 13-0.Caroline Smith, Rachel Ash, Ari Friedman and Josie Farwell played stifling defense all over the field while Olivia Valentine made 6 saves to get HB their first shutout of the season. The scoring was led by Kelsey Sweeney who scored 6 goals on 10 shots and Victoria Bruzik contributed a pair of goals of her own. Rachel Cerato, Reagan Berry and Paisley Broadhurst scored 1 goal apiece. Cece Fetter led the team with 3 assists. Abbey Magnuszewski led the team with 6 ground balls while also scoring a goal and getting an assist. Tasha White had 1 goal, 1 assist, and a team-leading 5 draw controls. Elise Bender led the team with 3 caused turnovers.

The Boys Volleyball team traveled to Salem and lost ,3-1.  Scores were 18-25, 26-24, 22-25, 20-25. Playing well in he effort we’re senior Jonathan Brackett with 15 kills, senior Mike Simco with 6 kills, Junior jack Sinclair with 10 digs and senior Scott Vancoughnett with 25 assists. The team is now 2-2. The jv’s also lost 2-1.

The Girls Tennis team lost to Manchester West 5-4. Singles winners Emily Spooner, Sam Randlett, and Lia Eisenberg while the doubles winner was Randlett/ Eisenberg

The  Softball team improved to 1-2 on the season with an 18-6 win over the Conval Cougars.  Gabby Paquin picked up the win for Hollis Brookline, pitching 5 innings for the Cavaliers with 1 strike-out and giving up 6 runs on 4 hits.  Leading the way at the plate for HB were Kara Lukovits (2-3, 4 RBIs), Cassidy Pigott (3-3, 1 RBI), and Skylar Mack (2-3, 3 RBIs).

Despite the pitching of Kaito Kramarcyk and Joe Messina Conval came out on top in Baseball action.  The game was tied 3 to 3 after 7 and it lasted 5 extra innings.  The final was 10 to 3. Joe Brown led the offense for HB and Kyle Hsu played well defensively.

Games for Thursday – April 19th :

Varsity Softball at Trinity , dismissal at 2pm,bus at 2;15pm ,game at 4pm

Girls Tennis at Trinity , dismissal at 2pm,bus at 2;15pm ,game at 4pm (same bus as Softball team)

JV Baseball host Milford at 5pm

Boys Tennis host Souhegan at 3:30pm at NST , dismissal at 1:45pm

 

Reminders : If you are a senior who has played a NHIAA sport each season ( Fall/Winter/Spring) for all 4 years of high school, please stop by the AD office as soon as possible.

There will be a Boys Soccer meeting on Tuesday,5/1, at 3:30pm at the high school (room -TBD) for all those interested in trying out for the team this August.
