Results from Monday -Sept 24th :

The Golf team traveled to Portsmouth on a cold and windy day and went 1-1, defeating Kennett(84-80) and losing to the host Clippers ( 95-84).  Top performers in the match were Aaron Brown- 19 points,Matt Dias- 18 points ,Tony LeFrance-17 points , Cayden Plummer- 16 points and Rory Klauber- 14 points .With two matches left in the season they have a team record of 16-5.

The Cross Country team competed in the 44th Manchester Invitational on Saturday. The Girls were led by Freshman Amy Pattelena with a solid time of 21:19. Kay Partridge, Lily Jackson, Victoria Rezzarday, and Carolyn Hultz were the other scorers for Hollis Brookline.The Boys were led by Kenny Corsetti finishing in 17:32. John Kotelly, Matt Hutchinson, Jake LaBorde, and Daniel DeLong were the other scorers for Hollis Brookline. This was an extremely competitive race  hosting  60 teams from all over.  All members of both teams competed well and should be proud of their effort.

The Field Hockey team jumped out to an early lead of 1-0 when senior Sofia Barassi scored off an assist from Rachel Cerato just four minutes into the game. Portsmouth would not get on the board until the second half, despite out-shooting HB 17-4 in the first half. HB goalkeeper Abbie Fitzgerald played an excellent game in goal, notching 23 saves on the day. HB again took the lead when Rachel Cerato scored on a corner, assisted by Barassi.  Portsmouth sent the game into a overtime, scoring in a heartbreaking fashion with just three seconds left in regulation. The game was called after only five minutes of overtime play due to darkness. Final score, 2-2.  The Jv’s  lost 1-0 in a very chilly game.

Devon Kuchta had 6 saves in goal. Playing well were Hannah LaPointe and Bethany Pender. 

The Volleyball team improved to 9-0 with a 3-0 match sweep over Portsmouth. Scores were  25-19, 25-19, and 25-14. Top performers were Maddie Norris 14 kills 2 blocks 9 digs ,Kaleigh Whalen 9 kills 3 aces 8 digs, Elizabeth Atkinson 8 kills 2 blocks, Kyra Belden 28 assists 5 aces 3 blocks 10 digs and Sammie Sheppard 8 digs. The Jv-A andJv-B teams also won.

The Boys JV soccer welcomed Plymouth for a late Monday afternoon game and closed out with a 6-3 victory.  After jumping out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Danny Sattler and other first half goals by Liam Baldwin and Benny Palmer assisted by Jonah Sacks, the game was tied 3-3 at halftime.  HB charged into the second half and regained the lead on a goal by Noah Sinclair from Joe Mahoney.  Noah then supported Liam Baldwin on his second goal of the game and Joe Mahoney completed the scoring late in the half.  Evan Rosenblatt, Robert Arcieri, and Alex James played strong team defense.

The JV Football team defeated Manchester West 20-18 to improve to 2-2.

The Boys Varsity Soccer team lost to Plymouth.

Girls Soccer @ Lebanon, dismissal at 1:15pm, bus at 1:30pm , games at 4pm.

Fall team photo day in the back lobby on Wednesday, Sept.26th , after school.Teams should be in uniform.

Tackle Hunger – Once again the athletic dept is collecting food for the local pantry in Milford.We will be accepting non-perishable food items for the next weeks  until Friday Oct . 5th when we host Sanborn in our second night game of the season.
