After being introduced to the theater in the seventh grade, Hollis Brookline High School senior, Melissa Oittinen was a part of The Peacock Players production of an adaption of Alice in Wonderland. She started with Peacock when she auditioned for Peacockapella, the acapella group, and was selected to join the group. Her first show there was Les Miserables during her junior year. Her role of the caterpillar in the current show, plays an important part in the climax of the show. She enjoyed every second of the three month rehearsal process with her peacock family. “The entire Peacock Players family is close-knit and incredibly talented – it’s a great place to live and grow,” said Oittinen. The next upcoming show is Shrek the Musical and will be playing Nov. 15 to 24.
