Be the change: Red Cross Blood Drive Tuesday, Nov. 19
Ready to be the change you wish to see in the world? To make a real difference to real people who need your help right now?
Put November 19 on your calendar to donate blood. If you live nearby and have potential blood donors in your home, please consider encouraging them to stop by and donate as well. There is a critical blood shortage, so the more pints the Hollis Brookline community can contribute, the better.
The Blood Drive will be in the mini-gym as usual from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 on Tuesday, Nov.19.
There will be permission slips for student volunteers and student blood donors: students may only be absent from classes with teacher permission.
In addition, the Red Cross Club will again be writing personal notes in holiday cards to be distributed to veterans, VA hospitals, and military installations–a decades-long tradition at the American Red Cross (click here for more info). If you have holiday cards you’d like to contribute, we’d be very grateful. There is a box in room 274 for donated cards: drop them by any time between now and Nov. 20.
Club adviser Heidi Foster and all members offer thanks in advance for support with these important community outreach projects.
