On Saturday December 7, Hollis Brookline will present an event that it never has before, a night filled with old music and dancing, get ready for motown night. The event will be held in the auditorium at 7pm. There will be 20- 25 songs performed in the show.

Mr.Illingworth, a current teacher at Hollis Brookline spoke about how he wanted to make another event for students to show off their music in fall, aside from the regular band concerts. “Guitar night has been the highlight of the year for kids.” said Mark Illingworth.

Many students ask, what exactly is Motown night? “It’s a branch of music most students don’t dive into. Bands like the Supremes and Jackson 5,” said Mark Illingworth. It’s a night filled with opportunity for students to show their musical skills in a way that is different from guitar night, or HB Idol. Auditions will be November 20. So come out and show your stuff. There will be a mandatory rehearsal for all students performing on Wednesday, December 4. All are welcome to participate in the show.
