Congratulations to Coach Bumpus and the Wrestling team for winning the NHIAA Division II Wrestling State Championships held at Goffstown on Saturday. The team scored 219 pts to out-distance Bishop Guertin (191 pts). Individual State Champions were Caden Bruseo ( 113 lbs), Hunter Crea (132 lbs), Jason DeJoie ( 138 lbs), RJ McAdams ( 145 lbs ), and Troy Moscatelli (152 lbs). Finishing as runner-up were Jameson Keller ( 106 lbs) and Ryan Mercier (160 lbs). Also placed were Ethan Strauss ( 3rd- 285 lbs), Ethan Bender ( 4th-170 lbs), Justin Colby( 4th – 195 lbs), Luke Wang ( 5th – 182 lbs), and Brady Rogers ( 6th – 125 lbs). In addition, Troy Moscatelli was voted as the ( OW) Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament. Attached photo of Troy with the OW award and the Individual Champions with Coach Bumpus.
The Ice Hockey team played 3 days in a row and finished with a clean sweep defeating John Stark, 4-2, Lebanon, 6-0, and Kennett, 4-2. Game summaries are below :
HBDS Warriors improved to 10-3 on the season, beating John-Stark 4-2. Kyle Sanborn with 2 goals to lead the way for the warriors. Jesse Gertz and Aidan Rowe with goals and Paul Vachon and Conor Sanborn with assists. Cavan Quinn is solid between the pipe’s stopping 10 shots.
HBDS Warriors defeated Lebanon-Stevens-Mt. Royal 6-0 to improve to 11-3. Scoring for the Cavs were Tate Flint (2 goals), Jacob Roy, Paul Vachon, Emmet Chretien, and Kyle Sanborn with assists from Jesse Gertz, Bryson Giersch, Jack Lager, Aiden Rowe, Sanborn, and Roy.
The HBDS Warriors improve to 12-3 on the season.  A win over the Kennet Eagles 4-2 completed the sweep of a 3 game weekend. Paul Vachon led the way with a goal and an assist. Jesse Gertz, Jacob Roy, and Isaac Winsor all had a  goal apiece. Assists were made by Alex Gertz, Aidan Rowe, Caleb May, Torin White, and Tate Flint.
The Warrior’s defensive unit had another impressive night.  Goalie Cavan Quinn stopped 22 out of 24 shots.
