The New England Patriots shocked the NFL world when they scored a game-winning touchdown to win at Gillette Stadium against the Buffalo Bills with a score of 29-25 to win Sunday, October 29th, but this win didn’t come easy. The Patriots have been struggling this season with being in 4th in the AFC East Conference and having a record of 2-5 in the season so far.
Patriots fans were excited and looking forward to a great season for the Patriots, but that excitement slowly changed after week 1. “I think they looked ok to start then started to fall off dramatically. The offense fell apart while the defense was being destroyed by injuries but after this past game, I think we still have a chance to bounce back,” said Patriots fan Auston 24’. After the Patriots shocking win Sunday, things could start improving.
Now going into week 8 with a 2-5 record, the hopes of improving their record have increased slightly. “ they played well today. There’s still room for improvement. We’ll see how it goes the next time we play at home.” said Head Coach Bill Belichick. Week 8 for the Patriots won’t be a walk in the park as they face the Miami Dolphins (5-2) but Belichick is focused and ready for game day. “I focus on the game and try to focus on Buffalo. Now I’ll focus on Miami. Yeah, you can count on that,” said Belichick.
During these types of games, it’s not always easy to stay confident especially if you haven’t been playing your best in the last couple of games. “ I just think sticking to the process, like I talked about. It’s hard when the results aren’t there. But continue to do that and continue to get better. We left some stuff out there, as always. But at the end of the day, we fought back. And the offensive line, especially, just gave me the time I needed today. And when I have time, I can read the offense how we’re supposed to and I really appreciate those guys,” said Patriots Quarterback Mac Jones.
Going into week 8 the Patriots This is expected to either be a close game or a blowout against the Patriots. “I think we’ll either win in a close game or it’s gonna be a blowout and dolphins are gonna crush us,” said Auston 24’. There have been many predictions for Sunday’s game, none in favor of the Patriots though, many Patriots fans are wondering how the game will play out and what the Pats will do to win the game.
