Every year in the NFL playoffs we have the best teams competing for the same goal and that goal being making it to the Superbowl. This year with the 8 remaining NFL teams in the playoffs one game in specific will be a great rival game. This game was against the Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills. It’s become more of a rivalry over the last three years with the Bills beating the Chiefs the last three times they’ve gone to Arrowhead Stadium in the regular season, but before that, the Chiefs outclassed the Bills in 2020, beating them handily both at Highmark Stadium in the regular season. This game will be one to watch for its rivalry and for the Chiefs one way ticket to the Divisional Championship.

The Chiefs in the past 10 seasons have made it to the playoffs 9 times out of the 10 seasons with the help of Patrick Mahomes. He’s been with the team since 2017 and many believe that he will bring the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl this year. To get there they first have to beat the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.“ My prediction for the Chiefs and Bills game will always be the Bills. Because the Bills are just better, Josh Allen can do everything on the ground and in the air,” said Geoffrey Kayton ‘24. Although the Bills do have a weapon of a QB they will need more than just Josh Allen to beat the Chiefs. “The Buffalo Bills are going to win. The Chiefs have a decent defense but I think the Bills are on fire right now with like a 5 game win streak, they’re going to java to finally redeem themselves from the past few times they’ve played in the playoffs,” said Auston Dougherty ‘24. The Bills have won the last 5 of their games but the Chiefs have been unstoppable in the past playoff games against the Bills with a 2-0 record in the playoffs against the Bills.

Although the Chiefs have had a bit of a bumpy season this year they are still more than capable of dominating the Bills like they have in previous years. “The Chiefs are an elite defense now, and have a dearth of weapons on offense as strange as that is to get used to.” said Fox Sports Analyst Will Hill. And I would have to agree; the Chiefs have a great defense this year only allowing about 4.9 yards per play which is the best mark in the NFL. “I feel like the Kansas City Chiefs are going to absolutely dominate the Buffalo Bills. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in general are just a totally different team in the playoffs,” said HB gym teacher NicoleFortuna. The Chiefs do have Mahomes and Kelce which both have a great connection together but another player that has recently been doing really well is Isiah Pacheco, a running back that hits as hard as he runs.ith this season alone he posted a career-best of 100 rushing yards after contact. But with the Chiefs incredible defense currently ranked #2 in the NFL, they will have to play an outstanding game and not give Josh Allen too much time if they want to defeat the Bills.
