The Hollis Brookline Derryfield varsity hockey team had another convincing win against the Goffstown Grizzlies last week, dominating all three periods.

The Warriors struck first, netting one from Derryfield’s Allen Mello ’15.  Goffstown fired back, ending the first period deadlocked at one. The Warriors held down the fort and dominated the second period, with goals by Captain Tom Johnson ’15, Max Hathaway ’15, and Michael Chassion ’16, taking a 4-2 lead into the final period. Once again, the third period proved to be a strength for the Warriors, as the Grizzlies scored only once on goalie Zach Goyette ’15. The Warriors sealed the victory after two insurance goals from Brett Pearson ’15 and a last minute empty netter by Kyle Stephens ’15. Stephen’s had a simple response when he was asked what was working for the team, “Its all about our teamwork and hustle.”

After a dominating 7-1 win against Pembroke Campbell on Saturday night, the Warriors stand at 4-7. The team has won their last four out of five games making them only one spot away from a playoff birth. They stand off against Somersworth Coe-Brown tonight, 8:30 p.m. at the Cyclones arena.
