Shamrockin’ it out
March 4, 2016
America’s favorite “smooth and creamy mint flavored shake topped with whipped cream and a cherry” is back. “But only for a limited time” according to McDonald’s. Their seasonal Shamrock Shake drives the nation crazy every year in the month of March, to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
This green-dyed mint milkshake is not only an indicator that St. Patty’s Day is coming up, but has also has been making people aware that spring is on the way since 1970. Much of the excitement around this chilly drink is the fact that people can enjoy it in the impending sun.
Jack Barbour ‘16 hasn’t had a Shamrock Shake in years but is excited to get his hands on one again this year.
The shake comes in three different sizes: small, medium, and large, and are sold for $2.29, $2.69, and $3.49.
Head over to a local McDonald’s during this month to get your hands on a limited-time Shamrock Shake. They’ll satisfy your desire for a tasty cool drink and get you in the mood for summer.
