Lindsey Wood ‘19 is a first year Journalism student at Hollis Brookline High School. She plays field hockey, lacrosse, unified basketball, and participates in the club Life of a Cavalier. She enjoys getting involved in school activities and hanging out with her friends, family, and her dog. She’s most excited to be a part of the CavChron team!

Actress Joey King, who plays Elle Evans, posted a picture of herself on the set of The Kissing Booth to her 3.2 million Instagram followers on Saturday. The movie has been popularized on social media since its premiere in mid-May. “My girl Elle Evans and I are completely overwhelmed with how kind you all are! This is crazy...thank you so much, my heart is bursting,” King said in the caption of the photo.

A sign outside the mini-gym entrance announces the all-day revote on Article 2. The revote ended with a definite failure for Article 2, with 1231 ‘yes’ votes and 807 ‘no’ votes; it needed two-thirds of the vote to pass. “I hope it’s not the last we see of [Article 2],” said Holly Babcock, a member of the School Board. “I hope it comes back for another COOP meeting and we pursue it in some capacity.”

The cast of All Shook Up stands together on stage in one of the last scenes in Act II. The cast members have been working on performing their show for two months and were excited to finally put on a splendid performance for all to see “The snow days were definitely effective in the timing of putting together the production...we had a lot less time to work on specifics of the musical that needed to have practice...but luckily, everybody in the production is very hardworking and able to cooperate with the near 40 hours of rehearsal time we lost,” said Evan LaFrance ‘20.

Students on the Costa Rica trip stand together after they finished digging and replanting seeds to bring wildlife to the shores. The trip consisted of activities to help out the community and preserve the land along the river. “It feels good that all the work we put in will help so many people in the future, and we all became a lot closer while we were doing it,” said Meghan Veino ‘20.

The team has had a solid season so far and continues to work hard on and off the court. “I am most proud of how even though everyone doesn't get in the game, everyone is focused and either playing hard or cheering on their teammates. It's amazing to see everyone giving their 100%!” said captain Balsamo.
