On Saturday, September 27, students throughout all grades arrived at the school for a night to remember. HBHS students celebrated their annual homecoming dance this past weekend, following a long period of planning. Everybody was dressed in their formal attire and ready for a night full of fun.
The student council has been planning this dance for quite some time, and they achieved their goal of a successful night that they were hoping for. When it came to the planning, it was “a little rocky to start, but the closer we got, the smoother it went,” said Madeline Marino, class of 2026 Representative. There was a lot of hard work put into this year’s homecoming, but “watching everyone else have a great time made all the effort feel worth it,” said Ashley Disco, Student Body President.
Homecoming was more successful this year than in many years past. The dance was advertised for weeks before, allowing for more students to become interested in attending the dance. In the end, “it was one of the best homecomings that we have had so far,” said Arwen Feng, class of 2026 Secretary.
The senior class was able to raise a significant amount of money that will go towards prom and other senior activities. It brought “the entire school community together” and “made all the hard work feel worthwhile,” said Disco.
The only downside was that “we did not have enough chaperones, which put a dent in our plans,” said Marino. Other than that small detail, overall, the 2025 Homecoming seemed to be a success. Hopefully, next year will be even better
