Sofia Barassi, Sports Editor

Sofia Barassi ‘19 is the head sports editor for the Hollis Brookline Cavchron. She enjoys playing field hockey, basketball, and softball at HB. Sofia also enjoys science class and writing for the paper everyday in journalism class. She hopes to continue her field hockey career in college and to major in science as an undergraduate. As a senior she is looking forward to editing articles and making the Cavchron a fantastic site!

Pictured is me, Sofia Barassi, sitting in my hospital bed after my ACL surgery in November of 2017. I tore my ACL playing field hockey and thought that it was the end of my career. Now I’m recovered and ready to play my favorite sport again. It was a very scary experience, but Arnold couldn’t have stated it better, “I’ve learned you need to go hard at what you love to do, because it can be taken from you at any time.”
